  • Horses with a lack of antioxidants in their diet or those needing extra nutritional help to perform to their natural ability
  • Horses which lack the ability to recover quickly after racing, endurance or high performance competition
  • Horses which are considered to have a lack of muscle strength and power or lose muscle bulk during a multi-day competition
  • For any horse which has an upcoming race or competition, Power & Protect helps as a nutritional supplement to prepare and allow their muscles to perform at peak intensity, supported with nutrients linked to reducing the risk of oxidative damage and improving muscle energy  
MAJOR INGREDIENTS

Power & Protect is scientifically formulated and extensively tested in field research trials with multiple ingredients for muscle health and function.  

  • Antioxidant vitamins, including Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E 
  • High potency antioxidant minerals, Selenium (as organic chelated selenomethionine) and Magnesium (as organic protein chelate)
  • A concentrated level of DHA (natural Omega-3 Docosahexaenoic Acid) 
  • Protein (with Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) and Essential Amino Acids) for muscle health and to rebuild damaged muscles
  • A high concentration of pure Beta-Alanine, a natural precursor of muscle L-carnosine
  • Other added extra amino acids for muscle health and energy, including L-Carnitine, L-Arginine and L-Glutamine.  
  • Also includes highly desirable synergistic nutrients that may help muscle performance, such as Co-Enzyme Q10 and Natural Superoxide Dismutase Enzyme (SOD)
  • A powdered supplement with a palatable vanilla flavour  

Power & Protect does not swab or contain banned substances and does not contravene the Rules of Racing or FEI Competition. This product is a nutritional supplement to support the health and well-being of a horse. It does not artificially enhance the performance of racing or competition horses. Rules prohibiting the use of any pre-race supplements within 24 hours of racing should be followed if applicable in the local jurisdiction.

SUPPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES

Each level scoopful of Power & Protect provides 15 grams.  

For horses (4000 – 650 kg body weight), mix Power & Protect into the daily feed with the following guidelines.  

Routine Supplementation:  15 grams is normally provided 2 – 3 times a week on days of hard exercise, when muscle fatigue or soreness may occur. 

Muscle Problems:  One scoop (15 grams) of Power & Protect every day for horses which experience ‘tying-up’ (Exertional Rhabdomyolysis, ‘Set-fast’) or poor muscle health and function that affects their ability to perform.  These horses may often be sore or ‘hard’ in the muscles, lack stamina or recover poorly from regular hard training, racing, endurance or Equestrian competition.  

Pre-Race or Before Competition Supplementation:  30 grams of Power & Protect each day for 3 days before racing, endurance or moderate to intense equestrian competition*.

Post-Race or After Competition Supplementation:  30 grams Power & Protect for 3 days following racing or an event to help recovery and turn-around after the event.
