To make-up shortfalls of important nutrients, including additional iron and Vitamin E to meet the elevated needs of endurance horses during long term training and regular racing.

Marathon Endurance™ is suitable to make-up shortfalls in grain-based rations and prepared feeds to help ensure long distance training is supplemented with essential metabolic and muscle nutrients.

MAJOR INGREDIENTS

Marathon Endurance is scientifically formulated to contain a comprehensive range of vitamins and trace-minerals which are essential for horse health, vitality, performance and recovery.  The formulation is regularly updated to the latest guidelines for optimum nutrition in endurance horses.

 

  • Blend of cold-pressed, colour coded Supplet® pellets separated into 4 compatible nutrient groups which ensures the potency and stability of the vitamins and trace-minerals in the supplement and in the feed.

  • A full range of trace-minerals, many in organic chelated form for optimum bioavailability

  • All essential vitamins and vitamin co-factors as potency protected forms

  • Three forms of iron, including bioavailable organic iron chelate and high purity iron carbonyl to offset losses in heavily sweating horses

  • Major antioxidants, including fully organic selenium as selenomethionine and extra vitamin E

  • Higher level of biotin, choline and iodine for hoof health and strength

  • Some bone minerals included, although extra may be added separately in early training for bone adaptation or when lucerne hay is not provided

  • Does not swab, safe and legal for all competitions and even racing (rules prohibiting the use of any pre-race supplements should be followed if required by local Racing or Competition authorities)
SUPPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES

Each level scoopful of Marathon Endurance provides 40 grams (LARGE END) and 15 grams (SMALL END) of the double ended scoop.

Daily supplementation rates from 40 – 60 grams per day (for endurance horses 400-450kg bodyweight) provide a practical guideline for supplementing the diets of horses in early training or regular long distance competition.

Even when feeding prepared, commercial ‘complete’ feeds designed for high intensity work, many trainers choose to boost nutrient content and optimise energy efficiency by adding 40 g of Marathon Endurance to the ration for the last 5 days before and after racing.

Standard dose is 60 g for an endurance horse in regular competition.
